Eva is from Slovakia, but has been living in the Netherlands for many years. She works as an illustrator, print and graphic designer. She gets inspired by various things around her, such as nature, animals and her own imagination, which is inhabited by some fantastic creatures.
In her work, she likes to draw attention to less popular and "strange" animals and to show that it is our differences and imperfections that make us unique and thus perfect. She aims to create an inclusive world that contradicts mainstream capitalist values and highlights the importance of mental health, the courage to be vulnerable and the values of friendship, openness and closeness.
Her aim is to produce original environmental friendly products that help bring people closer by sharing observations and thoughts by 'snail mail’, that promote journaling as a way of sustaining mental well being and that make our homes even cozier.
Eva fell in love with risography. In addition to being ecological, it is characterized by small printing errors, such as changes in ink distribution, higher noise, graininess and small shifts in the alignment of individual color layers, which make each graphic unique. These apparent imperfections bring about perfect results.
